man did that hurt!!!! wraped the chain around the front sproket.....had to jump on it to get it unstuck. took 2 of the front.....the chain was way over due for a change and so were the sprokets. i ordered some jt steel sprokets and a cheap chain....cheapest o ring they had. i put her at 14/45 insted of 14/48 like i had befor....cant wait to see the change. the chain does a full 180....its that bad.

i had to rebuild my xr600r just a few weeks ago. i was running jt sprockets and the front sprocket ate the counter shaft up pretty bad .it coast me about $350 for parts to fix it . just keep a good watch on your front sprocket.

ill make sure shes a good fit....... the stock chain lasted 8000 miles with what i would call poor matinance........ hey, anyone heard of a chain without a masterlink? my chian didnt have one......ive seen it on bycicles but never on a dirt bike.

You'd be surprised. That's like going up one in the front. You'll lose alot of acceleration, IMO.

1 up in the front wont change it all to much......when im accelerating the wheel is usually spinnin.......it would make a differance on the street but it would be a good differance because it will be able to stay at lower rpm's.

I use diesel fuel and an old paintbrush to clean a chain ... others use WD40 and a rag ... dont use stiff-bristle brush, it can damage the O-rings ... watch for wear on your countershaft with aftermarket sprockets, sometimes the hardness doesnt match well, and the shaft gets worn .. $$$$

This is the dumbest thing I have heard you say, and that is saying something. I would try to explain it, but it would go over your head. Just take my advice and don't say this to anyone ever again.
