Ok, I am a huge fan of Yamaha and I love my 2000 426. I read in my owners manual that my bike weighs 250 lbs with gas and oil. This seems like quite alot. I am wondering how much the newer bikes weigh with gas and oil. Any ideas out there????

Well, seeing that the newer 450's weight 220 dry, if you add the weight for 2qt of oil and 2 gal of gas. I dont know exacltly how much gas weighs, but it is slightly lighter than water....

Prolly at most about 15 lbs lighter.

I have access to a pretty good scale, if memory serves my '01 YZ weighed about 254 on it, my '03 CRF about 238. This is w/ little or no fuel in the tank, but slime in the tires, heavy tubes, maybe some extra parts, and who knows what other things in the way of the spec. weight.
