So the new SXF brakes are quite good(much better than past KTM IMO), but they are very grabby and I would like to have more modulation with a progressive feel.. any proven ideas? I was thinking of going to a different brake pad- like a harder compound, but not sure which one....
thanks for the help.

I had the same problem on my last 2 KTM's. Here is what I did. I changed pad material from a carbon/metallic to a carbon/Kevlar. Makes the brakes have moor feel in the pedal and in the lever. Pad life will do down compared to the stock pads, but I don't care.....I want to stop. I have been using EBC. Hope this helps. :)

The front brake on my 250 SXF was so strong it almost threw me over the bars (probably just too much adreniline on my part). I just backed off the adjustment in the lever a little which softened it up til I got used to it a bit. Now I am cranking it back in. It could be that the pads are just breaking in but I really think it is me that is adjusting. I have to say though with the engine braking and these brakes this thing STOPS! Can't wait to get it on a trail (you can always blow thru a turn on the track).
