I picked this bike up last thursday and finally got to go to the track Wednesday. I have to say I love this bike. Within 5 laps, I was 90% comfortable on it. It pulls so much harder than my YZ125 did. There is one triple that is very hard to clear on my 125, but first time hitting it on the KXF, I completely overjumped it, by about 10 feet. oops. The suspension did awesome. I did get a little bit of head shake when going high speeds through breaking bumps, but thats not really a big deal. I just cant get over how awesome this bike is. My backgrounds are supposed to be in tomorrow, I can't wait to put those on.

One thing I did notice is there was little bit of coolant on my stand. But it was about 90 degrees out today. Would a Boysen cover help it run much cooler? I know it would help, but does it make that big of a difference?

:) KX250F

Suspension is set up around for a 150 lb guy, i'm 155 and it's great. What year is the bike? If it's an 04 i would get the impeller, it helps out a lot. I used to not be able to push the bike so it wouldn't over heat. I threw the impeller and cover on there over the winter and decided to finally test it out thouroughly last weekend. I pushed the bike as much as i wanted in high 80 degree temps. Didn't loose a drop of coolant. If the rad was overfilled slightly, those drops of coolant are perfectly normal. As long as you see plenty of green when you open up the coolant cap and the bike is level you are fine.

It is an 05, the coolant is still full, so it didn't really lose much. But I can definitely feel the heat from the radiators when I'm riding it, I never noticed it on my 125 before. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on it. I'm alittle bit worried becuase I'm heading to the dunes in a couple weeks,  I know it will be running very hot out there.

Keep an eye on it but don't worry about it too much. I have a temp gun and ride with a bunch of guys who ride 125's. The reason you're feeling heat from the rads is that our engines run at about 200+ degrees whereas a 2 stroke runs around 150 degrees. As i said, if you loose a few drops of coolant it's no big deal, just keep an eye on it.
