Catfish get really big. Talk to some divers who explore your lakes and dams and you will be suprised from the stories. Heard of catfish as big as volkswagons. Thailand is great! I been there a few times and have enjoyed Mekong whiskey! Talk about a buzz, man I saw flying 640lb. catfish......really!

Some one told me that those stories of huge catfish near damn's was a myth ? But you never know. That would scare the hell out of me to come face to face with one while diving.

I read the article which went with the pic. The fish was caught by scientists who are studying the decline in the population of giant fish in the Mekong delta. They were going to release the fish but it died before they could so they gave it to the local villagers who ate it.
