how bad are the service intervals on that thing? ^^^^
i know the 450R's are notorious for going through pistons, rings, and oil quickly.

when these were being sold they were known to be heavy and overheat. But Supermoto wasnt around either. Your old KLX I think would be a kick ass SM bike.I never see them being sold used

About 10 years ago I was in Italy and a guy on a XR400 rode past me with a suit and 17inch rims. At that time supermoto was nearly no even heard of. I love the 400. To me its probably the best bike Honda ever made as far as being able to do anything and being reliable and cheap. When they were being sold I like the XR only tank. But now they are a little more obsucure I think I like the stock tank just fine. You have a really nice clean bike. How much do you ride it?

I bought this from the original owner. It was built in 96' and has 24k street miles. 24 miles on original OD i have from street too. Its a dirt version so it its lighter than a electric. Has a crazy built motor for its day. "400 lift cams, ported, custom carillo connecting rod, klx headpipe and a DRZ slip on, lightened flywheel, and at the time when it was built. Custom 692cc bore.JE would only make 4 pistons at the time so I have two still left. I have the old crank, cases, and cylinder from the nitrous is used to have.

Makes 60/45 with the older ".375 lift cams. Makes 80hp on the bottle chyeaa buddy.

I know its not as sleek and stuff but this bike is sick to me.
