I have that same bike and was thinking of putting the 705 tires on the stock rims for now. It looks like you have the stock front brake rotor, what rear sprocket do you have and does the stock front brake work ok?

For my riding style the OE front brake rotor works great and yes it will stop my bike with the motard set up.  I plan on purchasing a larger floating brake rotor for the front and relocate the caliper. My rear wheel is too wide for my liking (5").  I would like to have a 4.5 wheel with cush hub but it is okay for now.  I run a 14/48 for my motard set up and a 14/52 for my dirt set up.  I hope the 705's perform good on the gravel/fire roads.  The Michelin Pilot Road 2's did not do well on gravel but they did stick good on pavement.  I guess you give and take when riding pavement and gravel.

I have been looking at some conversion kits and will go that route when I have the extra funds. Probably will get a floating front rotor and use the stock caliper. I like the looks of the 705's and have heard good reviews. Definately have to accept some tradeoffs with street and dirt. What wheels do you have?

I have the KTM Behr 17" wheels and KTM motard hubs. It is a turn key motard set up from KTM hard parts.  Keep an eye out in the classified sections here, Supermotojunkie, KTM Talk, etc.  I see some good deals on KTM motard conversions. I will follow up with a tire update on how the 705's work out.
