I'm riding whats left of a 1999 WR400... It's a beast! 6 years on the original top end is hard to beat. I'll bet it's faster than most 426's and 450's (when it is YZ timed). It will loft the front wheel in 5th gear, while spinning the tire up massive hills. The 400 is one hell of a bike.

I still have my good old 426.. its tough and reliable so I cant really see myself getting a new one yet.

Cant beat the torque of a 426! I love my bike.. one quick wick of the throttle in any gear and the front wheel is hangin!

You haven't had the full YZF experience until you have ridden a 426 punched out to 444 in full Kibblewhite regalia.
Makes you sneer at the 426's and pity the 450's.
