Well the UPS guy came over again today...he he :)

Brought me my Clarke 4.7 tank, (thanks to TT member MGS for the great deal!) And I quickly installed some graphics and slapped the puppy on. I decided to post a quick pic of this and my other rescent mods, Pro-Tapers and Acerbis Rally II hand guards.

I still want to add some Moose Pegs, and IMS shifter/brake pedals, and braided lines...then I might just be done ! :D

Looks real nice :) You might want to try a oversized floating rotor in front :) it will help more then the braided line. I want to get the rotor next. I have the braided line.

I am glad the stock front and rear Honda brakes are very solid and top notch. Sure a huge wave rotor would be awesome, but the L model isnt as easy to upgrade as the R. I am just gonna do the lines most likely and call it good. They work fine for my riding...he he

Looks great, but if that's you sitting on it, you may need the lowering link.

The bike looks great... :)
But how in the world do you ride it, your feet are barley touching the pegs.. :)

It's not a 4.7, it is a 4.0 gallon tank. That bike has more of my old parts on it than it does stock parts. :) Glad you like everything. I like the white hand gaurds, looks good with the stock headlight.

I stand corrected, its a Clarke 4.0 gallon plastic tank. I got the graphics kit online from Dennis Kirk, they are made for an XR600. Heres the part # from my reciept 52-3395. They may be sold out as they were on clearance for $26 !Call toll free and see if they have if ya like. 1-800-328-9280 Or browse denniskirk.com.

Thats my 7yr old...ha ha :)

I need the lowering link though, the Teraflex raised the back like 2in. And I am only 6ft.

Hard mounting and crashing, but once your on the horse... its fine and fun. :)

Heres more info on the graphics kit:

Factory Effex Part # FX04-0103
Full Shroud XR600 89-00

Gives you an idea that most any XR600 kit will fit well on aftermarket tank. :)

Heres a set on E-Bay...cheap and new in package.

in your parts searches for your XR650L, parts listings may be scarce,.. but quite a few of the parts for the later model XR600 will fit perfectly ... check them out .. also, don't be surprised if your tank graphics bubble up, ( may or may not ) .. most guys run a few tanks of gas through them first, evidently the gas fumes penetrate the plastic and foul up the stickers ... hope for the best

I am hoping to not have issues...eeek

But the tank was used, and the stickers have the breathing holes...so I am raising my odds.
