will an 83-87 xr600 wiring harness work with an xr500 cdi unit and motor

exactly what the title says, i need to wire up the blaster and i found some wiring harnesses on ebay for cheap.

No It Won't And You Can Damage Your Electronics.

If it's a non RFVC XR500 motor (pre 83), then no for sure. Later, I'm not sure. As far as burning up the electronics, the CDI unit is the electronics.

There are ads for CDI boxes on ebay that say "XR200, XR350, XR500(83-84), XR600" all years, so I'd guess they are the same.

If it was me, I'd try it.
