Should come with 756's

I agree COMPLETELY, however, picture looks like the same old POS 739's.

Ok, I've seen enough.....off to bed now.....I still love my '05, and maybe in '08 I'll take a crack at the Al-frame. :)

Well, I was all set to shop for a deal on an '05 CRF.

Now I'm thinking of making my '03 last until I can get a 5 speed YZF.

Well...Looks like im gonna go with the blue instead of the yellow yzf. They look like factory bikes.I wonder how much they are actually going to weigh?Off to bed now to dream about the new yamahas.

BTW how about the EFI raptor 700 quad.that was cool. And I like the heater for the carb on the ttr50.Who woulda thought of a heater.

I'll gladly pay the extra for the Yama-Yeller!!!!!!

Ya, but won't Yama-Yeller clash with a Spectra-Blue-Mica YamaHauler? :)

people, you have to take into perspective that the bike has alot of other shit added such as pro tapers, titanium spring, gripper seat not to mention an ALUMINUM FRAME!!!!

Ya... the WR keeps the steel frame but adds the enduro computer and it only went up $300 :)

It´s only the front and rear fender and the shrouds in yellow, so you can use aftermarket plastics and it would be cheaper than the 200 bucks. Finally you have a second pair, if you destroy it or you would some changes in you look.

I'm not diggin the 5 speed box. I really dont like it. I'm not a woods rider so maybe that's why. I guess I'll be yellow or green for 06.

I agree on the 4sp vs 5 sp Gonzo. But I now know what 06 I am getting. Yamaha finally pulled all the stops out too come out with the "Trickest" 450 out there. I am sure it will be the most reliable of all of them.
I just can not believe someone finally woke up at Yamaha :)

I like the bike.....don't get me wrong. I will most likely get one.

But, I am a little let down on a few points.

The carb looks hard to get to......I guesss that coudln't be avoided with the new frame design.

The price............Ouch

The 5 speed.....I understand that a lot of off-roaders wanted 5 speeds. I say they should have kept the YZ450 full motrocross and 4 speed and made the WR more YZ like to attract the hard core off roader.

My only other complaint is that I have to wait until after November before I get one.

Now that I think about it, the choice of going with a 5speed probably had a lot to do with Motard racing. The Hondas were spanking the Yamaha on top speed.

they still list it as 220 lbs dry.. thats what my 04 model was rated at when i got it

I think they are still showing the 2005 specs, look at the gear box, still 4 speed.

Personally, this is the trickest, most reliable thumper you can buy.....hands down. I like the looks and I like that fact that you can buy this bike and race it right out of the box. 756's (the 250 smoker has them so I assume the 450 will), rubber mounts on the top clamp, Pro Tapers, rumored 215lbs, 5 speed (I am sorry but we all missed the 426's 5 speed), aluminum frame that translates into a lower center of gravity...more important than the actual weight savings, titainium shock spring (another 3lbs of weight savings that lowers the center of gravity), remapped CDI for more hit! YES MORE HIT! :)

The "second generation" dual chamber forks are gonna be sweet...the 05 forks are nice and now they have refined them.

This bike is everything riders said they wanted in a Yamaha and then some

I was thinking the same thing. I can change color depending on my mood. I already have my deposit down.

When you guys talk about weight, remember the AMA rule is 226 race ready without gas for 450's. It's 216 for 250F's and 250 2-strokes so a 215 weight even with gas wont hit that mark.

The YZ250 only weighed 3-4 lbs. lighter when they went to aluminum frame.
