Any ideas on how to remove the lower bearing race without buying a special honda tool?

Be very careful with a dremel and its cutoff wheel. Cut into the race vertically across its face but not all the way through then hit the bottom with a chisel and hammer and it'll bust out of there. Done this many times, just remember to wear eye protection with those cut off wheel disks if they break. Hope this helps.
