XR650R manual recommends setting idle speed using a tach. Do most of you do it this way or by ear? I've never used one on a bike, so any recommendations of make and where to buy would be appreciated.

By Ear. Turning the idle screw Clockwise = higher RPM.

I adjust the idle screw with my fingers and listen with my ear... :)
