I just purchased a Hinson clutch basket for my 98 yz400. I called Hinson to see what brand of clutch and friction plates they recommend. I was told to stick with OEM or to buy the ones they sell. In the case of my yz400 they said that there plates come out of the same factory as the Yamaha plates. I bought the OEM clutch and friction plates from crotchrocket.com for $87. Thats the cheapest I found them anywhere.
