drive sprocket nut/ left or right hand thread?

IE- Do I turn it to the left or right to take it off, I have tried to the left without success, so it got me thinking maybe it's a right hander :)

It loosens counterclockwise, like all regular threads... It's easier using a long 1/2" drive breaker bar, with a good yank against the compression stroke in 1st gear.

dont forget to grease the axel so it is easier to get in and out next time.
