my '01 has excel wheels, maxxis tires, DH1 triple clamps, GPR stabilizer, baja designs kit, HRC kit, suspension by precision concepts, cr high bend renthal fat bars, IMS 5 gal tank, just put a FMF ti-4 pipe on it, and build a 3/16" alumn. skid plate for it. oh and best of all, the rare and highly sought after california license plate

Yeah I had got them from www.happy-trail.com about 3wks ago. It serves it purpose when I'm heading out to a trail that's a good distance away from home. It also kept my bike from being banged up the other day when I went riding near my home and layed it down when I proceded to slide down an embankment of mud and the highway peg/bar caught ground before the side of my bike.

I admit though that it's a really simple part that you could actually make yourself, but I was too lazy to do it at the time and I wanted to see what the part looked like.

Here is maybe a little bit better view of it. This picture was taken 5days ago near Dupont (between Brevard, NC & Hendersonville, NC).

I've got the same hwy pegs and skid plate on my 08 pig too. They certainly come in handy on the road, but I've taken them off when trail riding. I've already caught a tree with a stock foot peg(that hurt like hell) and don't need anything else sticking out to catch.
