What did you do to make the 600R side panel fit?

Very nice L BTW.

Hey all--

Haven't been here for a while, and for good reason. Been looking for a certain ride and finally found it: '97 600R, very clean, has a Wiseco piston and has been bored, but the guy wasn't too sure how far. Said it was the "first stage" piston, so I'm assuming it's probably just a .020 or .030 over. Also has a Hot Cam and Supertrapp exhaust. I'm really tickled with it so far, with the obvious exception of a slightly sore right leg. It's my first big single; I've ridden all sorts of stuff but never owned anything past a 400. Got a quick (cold) ride on 'er yesterday afternoon and the torque is absolutely amazing. Thanks a ton to Old Cooter for the help and advice in buyin' 'er!

Apparently I'm not allowed to post pictures, so maybe this link will work:

Looking forward to a lot of fun and long time with this bike!

Those pics are so damn cool. I can't wait to get mine in the water. I have some great creeks and rivers to run in, sand bars, deep holes.....big fun. Last time I was in 'em, I was about 28 years old and on an '82 250R 3-wheeler. Maybe I've found the fountain of youth. I know I've found the fountain of "sore right leg" after tryin' to get the pig runnin' this afternoon. Damn.

Very nice looking bikes xrslagfan. :smirk:

How long have you had that tank on the R? It doesn't look yellowed at all.

I cheated and took that photo the day I put the tank on.

I knew it would never be that clean again.
