Put it back into dirt mode. Put the SM wheels back on the 450r.

How do you like that pipe? How loud is it? I have a Q4 and the welds broke where it bolts to the frame so I'm in the market. Since these guys bought out white bros I'm hoping this one sounds as good as an E series :D

I like it and sounds good to me. It has good deep note to it. Not to obnoxious. Its been been pretty good and has held up well. I liked the E series and when I found I couldn't get it any more, I figured this was the next best thing.

I have a similar pipe on mine.  I switched to a SuperTrapp (it's for sale by the way) for quite a few months and tried that with both 8 discs for a quieter pipe and 20 for supposedly more power.  The SuperTrapp was only quieter at speed and didn't sound better in either configuration. I finally went back to the White Brothers and the power is definitely either as good or better everywhere.  And for sure it sounds better to my ears.  It's a bit louder than I would like at full throttle, but I doubt you can get good power with less noise on any pipe.

Mine makes 52 HP at the rear wheel nearly stock through the stock muffler with a BD Quiet tip and it is very quiet.  It gets much louder when I remove it, but doesn't make more power.  I really am at a loss as to why they quit making the tip?!

Here is my newly acquired pig. 83' with no mods. Not the original engine. Paid 700 bucks, runs like a champ with very little engine noise but it is my first XL so I am going through all the pains of learning the inns and outs of pig ownership...any golden nuggets of wisdom would be helpful...

Just acquired.  2007 with 2771 miles on it.  Was a city errand runner.  Will be my dirt road explorer.  Haven't ridden a dirt bike since the 70's. untitled-2.jpg
