did u have to lengthen any cables or wires?

I am 6'4" also and was contemplating the risers myself just bought mine a week ago + also

thx Z

I did replace the clutch cable. When I had the bars turned all the way to the right it wouldn't pull very well. The new one was a few inches longer and works great. Everything else is fine, the choke cable came out of the routing bracket on the frame, but doesn't really matter. Brakes are fine.

Here she is - Piggy Sue, named to honor both Buddy Holly and Jim Henson. This was taken last year after her mud baptism in the Daniel Boone National Forest. It was also a trial run for the 276mm Africa Twin brake disc and the Baker Precision transmission oil cooler (which still needs some sort of guard).

here is mine, 680 high compression piston, ported head hot cam jetted carb de smogged uni filter and gutted air box, header and pro circuit t4 muffler, titanium valve springs, ummm a few other goodies. need to start cleaning her up and get the new chain and sprockets on. also need to wear this tire out on the back and get something a little more aggressive.

the first one is the day I got it before the motor blew and with the old back tire.

Here is my 96 650L after finishing my frame up restoration. USD front end conversion, powder coat frame, etc.

I like the early style side plates.  I have had them off and on my 02 a few times, but didn't like the way they fit with the seat.  I am contemplating modding the seat base to be straighter to better match up.

I used the old style plates after removing the battery box. I didn't like having the left side plate sticking way out there when there wasn't anything underneath. I meant to order a newer side plate for the 600, but somehow got them mixed up.

Now that I have two of them, I may as well show them, plus my KTM:

Rode all three of them (with my two sons on the Hondas) up to the top of Sierra Buttes on Tuesday:

Who makes those footpegs?

Hi guys,

I live in Angola and bought in 2009 a XR650R 2007...also the happy owner of a Ktm 950 Adv 2004.

I´ve been riding it in some raids...and for fun at the weekends.

...and do some mods. This is the result.

I've mount CRF fork, a CRF triple clamp adapted for XR, Magura EX, Polisport UFX front fender, Polisport MMX headlight, pro circuit exhaust, and new foot pegs.
