Picked up this well cared for '94 model today. Lots of fun. Goes like hell in the woods when using first gear. Goes fast on gravel road too.

Hi all. I'm a thumper newbie. This 93 xr600 is my first bike. I bought it about a month ago and have been steadily trying to make it my own. The first pic is from the day I got it. And the other is today. I love this bike. I'm still learning all about it but it handles great and will be my commuter soon. So far all it as is a super trap pipe. New plastic but everything else is pretty much stock. I plan on dual sporting with it so any advise would e awesome.

Smog elimination can be done for free with a bit of aluminum and a drill. supertraps are ok but a pretty pipe will cost around 400, wont need a full system since all the gains are all in the muffler and a header would just be a waste. rejet will cost 15 bucks depending on if you nail it first try, a k&n air filter is nice to let it breath but not the best for the dirt so a filter cover would be needed. bargain tires can be found for 150 each. I opted to do a USD conversion to alleviate the spongey front end. hope this helps.

It does help. Thanks for the reply and info. I have found that I love this bike. I will work on those mods soon. Thanks again.

Heres my 2013 650L. My first bike ive ever owned and ever had the pleasure of riding. Still getting the hang of things but i'm loving every minute. 120 miles on her so far after two weeks. Haven't done any mods yet. I covered the entire bike in black vinyl wrapping.

Here is my frame up restoration. Has a Carrillo rod, 41mm FCR, and all the goodies. I put the speed pickup for the Vapor on the rear wheel. image.jpg image.jpg
