thanks old dog,im pleased with the way it turned out,
planning another ,but this one will be classic scrambler style, alloy guards etc,
like the old bsa scramblers my dad took me to see when i was a kid,but with the convenience of electric start and the gear shift on the left ,decent brakes etc

New Mods: FMF PowerBomb, Q4, PowerUp Jet Kit, UNI Filter, Smog Removal, Charcoal Canister Removed, Dunlop 606's, all done by dealership to maintain 5 year Honda Protection Plan. Certainly runs smoother, no more decel popping, starts better. Didn't have the seat of the pants uncorking some talk about but certainly better.

Wow,
You found a dealership that would remove your smog crap and still retain the protection plan? Thats cool.

New Mods:Charcoal Canister Removed,

It never had one to remove. They removed your crankcase breather/oil separator. You want it back!

Are you serious about them putting the crankcase breather/oil separator back on?? I know I saw some posts on this but thought it wouldn't hurt anything.. and if it does... warranty time...

It wont hurt anything, but it keeps the oil vapor splodge from turning your bike into a superfund toxic waste site:smirk:.

Seriously... I dont have one on mine either (removed by the previous owner) and I have my crankcase vent line run up to the top of the airbox, capped with a K&N filter. When I bought the bike, the K&N was on a short hose down near the shock.... It was a freakin MESS!:worthy: If they route the hose directly into the airbox, there is nothing stopping the oil vapor from getting huffed directly into the carb.
The separator has a purpose.... like I said, you want it back.:ride:

Thanks Buddy. I will get them to reinstall or cap with K&N like your recommendation...

16,800 Miles. Best thing I've ever ridden and certainly the most fun, versatile and enjoyable bike ever built....at least in my opinion.
