Here is my 98 Xr600r. It has Excel rims Talon hubs, 320mm disk brake conversion and Showa USD forks. Engine mods include 650l jug rebored to+1mm, JE high compression forged piston, fast cam, kibblewhite valves, valve springs, and retainers. Ported and gas flowed cylinder head, uncorked airbox, performance air filter and a Keihin FCR41 pumper carb. And breaths out through FMX high flow stainless steel headers into a Leo Vince Silencer.(I use the word silencer lightly as it's not quiet) The ignition system has been treated to a remapped cdi, giving a more advanced curve, and allows the engine to rev 1000rpm higher at the red line. An AMR Monster coil is also fitted. Bike has been a project of mine for a couple of years, and all of the mods I have researched here at thumpertalk.

Here's the best picture I could find. I cut the foam down with a hacksaw blade, then took it to a small auto upholstery shop and they smoothed out the foam, put a light fabric on the foam surface and restapled the cover. It looks really good, and all for $30.

I'm only 5' 7", and with the stock seat height I was barely able to reach the ground on tiptoe. Now I don't fall over on uneven ground anymore

By the way, that's a TeraFlex 140-80 on the rear, and boy does it hook up in sand. Not the tire to use if you like to slide the rear, but loads of grip.

Here's my baby, vintage 2008! I just got her last weekend, and it has rained, rained, rained! I haven't renewed my license as of yet, so it will be some time before I can give her a good shakedown on the road! Hammer (my son, the German Shepherd) loves to chase me around the back 40! I've already ordered and received the Baja Kit to get rid of the smog nonsense. It has a Supertrapp pipe, jet kit, k&n air filter, and a 15 tooth front sprocket for cruising back and forth to work!

I'm looking at Highway Dirt Bike's handguard system (because they look absolutely bulletproof) along with their turn signals and handlebar mods. I've also ordered a Acerbis 5.8 (white) tank...and I'll be getting to all these mods when school is out (I'm a middle school math teacher)...what do you think?
