We've had pretty serious rains (for Southern California) lately, and it's washed out/flooded many areas...

Went back to dirt mode. Managed to rip the rear tube twice now in two days. Rim Locks are now on order which I know I should have done in the first place. Also went ahead and ordered some new side panels and went with the xr600 flat one since I moved the battery to the air box.

http//C:\\Users\bigdaddypaul\My Pictures Hi from a newbie to this forum, this is my 3rd XR, had an old early eighties XR500, then an 80s XR600. Just got this 2008 XR650L with 2200 miles, added FMF power bomb header, FMF spark arrestor, Renthal bars, Moose hand guards, disc and fork protectors, Clarke 4.0 gallon tank, got a spare set of wheels with new Dunlop knobbies, IMS super stock pegs, a red oring chain. I look forwardd to using this site a lot, hope the photo shows up

Well, first your pictures have to make it onto the internet somehow. Many (like me) use free web picture hosting sites (Photobucket, etc.) to load pictures up from our personal computers. Once on the hosting site, you copy the "address" (also known as the URL) and paste it into a post, with the tag in front, and the tag at the end of the address (just like you tried in your first post). The key is having the picture somewhere on the internet.

Hope that was clear enough to understand... :excuseme:

my second XR 650 after a full restoration.
is a 2000 model and when I bought was very worn.

- full engine rebuild with a new Falicon Rod with XR's only bearing and axle
- repainted frame with aerospatial paint, normally used on the airplanes carts and wheels, the color match very whell with the stock color of the frame.
- Edelbrock pumper carb
- Arrow stainless steel headers
- stock silencer with HRC tip db killer
- Ufo side panels, headlight and Sumo front fender
- fully restored plastics using a special kit
- new Husqvarna Sumo Wheels (SMR 510)
- New sprockets and chain
- New (used) swingarm
- all the bolts are galvanized or brand new (a lot of rust in orgin)
- Silicon radiator hoses
- Spal Radiator fan with remote manual switch
- Magura MX bar
- Brembo radial master cylinder 16x18
- Brembo 4 pots caliper
- ElectrexWorld new stator (250W) and new regulator
- Modified Rear Shock with double position low pivot
- Applied triple clamp with Scotts Steering Stabilizer (not shown)
- IMS Footpegs
- Factory Effex Oem Style graphics
