I'm in the process of re-shimming the valve clearances on my 2001 YZ426 and I have a question. My local dealer sold me new pads that are smaller in diameter than the stock pads. The new ones he sold me are not quite 5/15ths in diameter. While the stock pads are 3/8ths in diameter. Can I put in the smaller pads or do I need to go back and get some larger ones??

Thanks!

They need to be the same size in diameter.

The pads he sold you are for a YZ250F. Like Dano said, they have to be the right diameter.
