If you re-shimmed accordingly, the valve 'train' should be as quiet as it was before.

I just put a set of hot cams in my 426 and after a few hard hours its quite loud time to reshim I would be constanlty checking your shims and gettting it right, before its too late.

I'm installing one now for my 2000. Need to get shims still.

If it's louder than before, you need to reshim.
