needle jet insertion?

so i'm uncorking my new to me brp and i get to the point where i'm inserting the needle jet and damn it won't go into the carb. I can't get it aligned to the point where the needle jet seat will reach the threads. tips? advice?

Do you have the needle jet oriented the right way. I believe the end with the larger hole goes in first.

What cdonowho said. And be sure that the needle jet seat is firmly seated, otherwise it will back out when you change pilot jets in the future. :naughty:
