My vote is for the 600, Its a better built bike all in all...........

The DRZ I rode (stock) had about the same top speed as my XR600 (stock, uncorked) had but the 600 had more low RPM grunt. The DRZ gets the nod in the suspension department. Both bikes are close to the same weight. Both have tons of aftermarket goodies available. Both are very fun to ride. :naughty:

I've ridden my brothers drz400S quite a bit. I used to have an xr600. I'd have to agree with this statement exactly.

Probably boils down to price, condition, and whether or not you care about an electric leg. I'd by another XR600, or a DRZ and I'm very happy with my Xr650r.

Ps my bro & I are both 6'1 190+-
