I just installed a Regina standard width O ring chain on my yz426 and it runs pretty darn close to the engine case and the master link has a noticeable rub on the sides of my half worn out chain guide. Are these bikes supposed to run a narrow chain? :naughty:

i think as the guide wears the chain drops into the plastic and it does that. i about wore the clip off mine and called t.m.designworks to see if it was wore out enough for the replacement warranty, they told me no just trim the sides down with a razor knife. kinda a pita but it worked. i guess they don't honor the warranty t'ill it wears into your swingarm!! :naughty:

If it's the 520 chain, it's the right width. I run a Regina ORN on the 450, no problems at all.
