Wtf Over??

Recommended Posts

as far as racism is concerned...I am an equal opportunity ****er....I **** all races of women and I am not racist...I hate everyone equally!!!....censorship sucks and I am an advocate of the freedom of speech....but this site is not for all that...it is primarily for exchanging of information and ideas as related to motorcycles...primarily 4 stroke single cylindered ones.....we don't pay for this site as members....sponsors mostly do...sponsors can at times dictate terms of agreement for that money as can owners negotiate back for returns in terms of S.W.A.G. and so forth.....but what the hell...does all this really matter anyway?....its the internet for christs sake....its all kinda retarded to argue on the internet anyway....cause where does it get you?....frustrated and then you end up taking that frustration out into the real world and then what?....some guy hundreds or even thousands of miles away has affected you in your daily existance how?.....ahhh..whatever...its all relative!

Look I know nothing about this guy that got banned. In fact he seems like a lot of my mates.

If what Burned said is correct - he was removed for that post then I think I can see why they did it.

Some of you have to consider how big TT is now. I mean it has over 50,000 members from all walks from all parts of thr world. This is not a US central board anymore. People from all over the world come and talk, benchrace and learn about their bikes.

I love TT. I reckon it's the best motorcycle site in the world. The inofmration sharing that all you guys out out is seriously awesome. It's what brings people here - you're all hyper friendly and the mods for the most part are very very considerate.

What that guy said about foreigners and not being able to buy shares in tokyo is sort of ugly no matter whih way you cut it. he is free to have his thoughts but he doesnt need to post them. Keep them to himself. None of us are going to change the laws on how politically correct the world is now are we?? You have to accpet the fact the world is like it is and move along.

Dont harp on about the mods and burned - he's a volunteer. He's probably mates with you guys as well. He does a decent job.

I think some of you need to settle down a bit and consider that possibly TT is no longer a small colection of US centric people anymore - it is huge now!! With that comes responsibility and the need to look like they're doing the right thing.

What would happen if the media grabbed what Irondude wrote and went out and said "TT supports what this guys says by allowing it to be on" You'd all be up in arms.

The board has to keep the place clean. Clean of ugly posts. You're children are not allowed to swear in class and it's the same thing here. The bigger TT gets the bigger the pressure to behave and conform. Which is good and bad.

Yes censorship is bad - but have a look around now. You can't walk dwon the street and call someone a ^%*^*&MOFO. It's ugly and not good manners for one. Secondly you're likely to see you're lights punched out.

Overall TT is a great place. There will be times when they have to enforce the "law". Bannning 1 guy out of 50,000 is hardly serious. I'd expect bothing less.

Why shouldn't folks be proud of their race or nationality?

Is it only encouraged for non-Caucasians?

Are Caucasians required to have some simmering guilt over actions made in the past, by people who happened to look like them?

Does any sign of pride in the Caucasian automatically signal that one is a skinhead, a KKK-er, a racist, a supremacist?

Perhaps Irondude's other posts, where he was warned, were more radical in content. The post shown as the "straw that broke the camel's back" certainly doesnt come across as racist in any way, unless the mere mention of the word "white" counts. Homophobic? Against Eco-Nazis? It would appear so.

Burned never has impressed me as one to rush in and throw his weight around, he's a pretty level-headed guy at the mod controls IMHO. In this instance, on the post presented, I think the ban is wrong. Mistakes can be made, we are all human. They can also be corrected.................

especially on the internet where any idiot like me can express thamself to so many..

thats my not so humble opinion

I think you're missing the point. People can be proud of their nationality.

However when that "proudness" oversteps the mark it needs to be pulled up.

At home you can be as proud as punch about your nationality. On this site you have to tone it a bit. I see no problem with that. This is a bike site not a place where you come on an rant about the fact you cant buy shares in tokyo.

I mean how many of you really care that you can't buy shares in tokyo. I mean really get off your high horse and move on.

Americans are but one of many races in the world.

Americans are but one of many races in the world.

Now thats funny. What race would you be talking about? I live in America and work, live, and play with every race on the planet. The only real American race is the American Indian and I don't think you were addressing them. I have a core group of friends my wife and I have hung out with for years and they are White, Black, Hispanic, Hawaiian, and Chinese. Several interracial couples as well. Within our little group you can bet there is some racial slurs, all in fun and actually very fun. We understand. Pretty much becoming the norm in the NW and I see more of it each day. So what race are Americans again?

I think you meant many races make an American.

No I didnt.

Try defining an "american"

It is very very difficult if not impossible.

You have a multicultural society. So does Australia.

I cant and wont try to define American - it's impossible. Sure you can mass generalise but americans are as diverse as many a culture.

There are so many different traits in people living in America that it is impossible to say "if a person has these traits they are American"

Try doing it and see if you include all Americans. You cant.

So back to my point - being proud to be a white person is well probably getting a little tiresome and ugly in this day and age. If you're proud of yourself and confident then why does the world need to hear it beyond what acceptable?

Everyone can be proud - it's when people go too far and start singling out others for no logical reason (eg you cant drink here cos you're xyz" I mean it's so old and boring.

All I'm saying is move on. Burned is a considerate guy. Ratting on him even if her were wrong is weak and small minded. What will it prove? Nothing - this is the internet.

Hello mods.... We have a big mess in the XR600/650 aisles 3,4 and 7. Time to step in and clean this up. This needs to be moved outa here. I slipped and fell in aisle 4 and I might sue. We got more pressing issues with people needing info on oil, what is the best tire and how do I dual sport my pig for under a thousand bucks.
