not really.  I live in Nor-cal.  Most of the tracks and big races are in So-cal.

I bought a PU kit from CRFs only.  It took maybe 30 mins to install because i took out the snorkel and had to grind off the ends of the mixture screw.  Otherwise it'd be a 15 minute install.

My kit uncluded 108 and 115 mains, 42 slow, a mix screw (not a nice onle like a zip tie, but it'll do), and a needle setup (clip, needle, retainer, and a gizmo i don't need).

i went with 115, 42, 4th from top, removed said snorkel, 2.5 out on the mixture screw.  Warmed it up...and it ran like a dream.  We are maybe 100 to 200 ASL so i went with the bigger main.  I haven't pulled the plug yet, but no pops, bog, etc and it really smoothed it out.

Now if i could only stop the battery from going dead.  Sooo many bikes...too little time.

.
-You might also consider removing the backfire screen from inside the airbox, this will help increase the amount of air entering the carb.

Cheers,[/QUOTE]

can some possibly take a photo of the back fire screen i tried looking inside and didnt really find anything ???
:p

Your stock needle should have 5 clip positions...just move the clip down, towards the pointed end, one position.

I understand that, what I want to know is if the new needle jet set in the sticky is any better than the stock needle

No, stick with your stock one with the clip in the 4th position from the blunt end.

the needle jet you get with the power-up needle is the same as the stock one.

Just do a search and you will find the answer, from an expert, that you are looking for.  The needles are different but the stock needle, if it has 5 clip positions, will work better.  I messed around with the power up needle and stock needle for a while and ended up sticking with the stock one.

I just read this thread and I didn't see anyone chime in with what to go with for uncorking at higher elevations -- 4,000-6,000'.  Can anyone help?  The bike is a 06 CRF150F.  Thanks.
