Please Help Me... In Need Of Major Input

Is there anything more stupid than a Husquavarna troll?

Husqvarna was spelled on a number of occasions previously in this thread, yet You are unable to spell it correctly?

I don't feel it's trolling. We are all just trying to point the guy in the right direction.

I've never felt the need to spell an Italian firms assumed name from the purchase of a Swedish sewing machines cratered business, but thanks for looking out.

You aren't a troll? I guess you guys are interested in reading a real forum for a change. :naughty:

Regardless of what they have made, they are making amazing bikes now that can compete with (and beat some) anything out there.

And your Yamaha...do you think they made motorcycles first...or pianos and guitars...

Out of curiosity, how many Huskys have you ridden?

I agree with grayracer513, he just wants to know if he bought the correct bike. Remember that he posted in the yamaha forum, so it is a little biased in here. I have nothing against husky, but that was what came to mind, and some people are just insecure and that looks like you are one of them. The 426 is a great bike. For those of you that are interested I just posted a ride for you with that last post. If you can make it out that is really a good ride, husky fan or not.

I guess I did get my panties buched up. I was in a pissy mood doing my reserve duty. So, YZforMe I apologize. I'm not insecure about Husky because they are fantistic bikes. However, my Huskys do tend to be the butt of jokes around my friends (so I just let them ride em). They are already trick, you don't have to buy the extras. Also, if you'll notice my tag I own a YZ426 and I love it! That's why I'm in this forum now. He asked if he should sell it. All I was trying to do is let him know that a Husky is something he may want to consider if he's going to be woods riding instead of MX. I've made my peace, so I'll bail before I get beat up anymore. :naughty:

Gitch and Dad thanks for the input.

1. Touche

2. I have the perfect bikes for what I want to do, an XR and a YZ. Why would I want to augment them with a clown bike from Italy? Seriously, I have no interest in those bikes. None. When was the last Husky to win a supercross or a major offroad race? (sure, same can be said of Ahamay)

Europe baby!

No they don't put much money into American supercross because Europe is where the money is for them.

Clown bike...? Don't knock them till you try them.

Wait till next year, Husky is going to revolutionize dirtbikes as you know them.

I lied, I had to respond.

Ease up dude! If they put Chad Reed on a TC450, he would win just as easily. Husky can't pay the big bucks to sponsor a Supercross rider. The lappers make $250,000.

No sir. Japanese industry!

Now, if you were trying to make an argument for European machinery you might have more traction with KTM, but the Husky love affair is unnattractive.

Clown bike. The YZ450 is strong, reliable and thoroughly understood by my local dealer and the offroad riding public. A husky? It's an anomaly, a showpiece.

Next year will be the big 4 Japanese rollout just like always. As long as you have your 'perfect bike', its all good. Besides, I always bring two tow straps to help you fellers out when your dead in the hills. :naughty:

OK, back to that YZ for a minute.

I have a 1998 YZ400 and find it a great bike. For tight trails it can be a handfull, but add a flywheel weight, drop a tooth or 2 on the front sprocket and it works fine.

I have gold valves in the forks, and while I still feel it is a bit harsh at times, it holds up well an MX jumps fine, I know I cannot have both. If needed the suspension can be lowered by a shop. You could also remove the seat cover and shave an inch or so of the seat foam, heck, the seat is hard to start with, cannot get much worse!

The starting drill has not been a problem for me, but I think I got lucky and bought a bike that seems to have the jetting spot on.

I ride at Metcalf in NorCal and ride the single track is fun. I do have to use the clutch some, but not too bad.

It is not my old XR400, for better and for worse!

If you ride in Nor Cal, let me know, would like to hook up!

Mike

If you want to talk about husky then go to the husky forum. Nobody here cares about husky. If you want to talk about this issue then let's talk about it...

Who made you a moderator junior? Last I checked it was a moderator talking about them here.

I dont think that I said anything bad about the huskys I was just trying to be funny. I live in the dessert and ride the xr more for long trail rides and the yz for short play rides. I have not had a chance to ride the huskys and the yz is a 2x4 on wheels, well one wheel most of the time.
