Is it possible to remove scuffs and minor scratches from a 05 450's muffler? If so how?

In the UK we have AUTOSOL it is a metal polish for chrome and alloys, I have used it on an 03 yz450 with a buffer (car polisher) you can polish the alloy untill it looks like chrome and the same with the stainless steel end pipe, it looks devastating and get looks everywhere I go.

I just keep falling down until the entire can has matching scrapes. Then repeat. The faster the crash the shinier the scratch.
