I know on 2 strokes that it doesn't hurt to skip out on the clutch when shifting. When I'm racing my 426 I don't use the clutch except when i'm doin a berm shot. Is that bad for the tranny? I don't want to hurt my baby. Thanks in advance for your responses.

You shouldn't slip the clutch on these bikes the torque will eat the clutch plates within 2 laps.

Shifting without the clutch is OK. Don't try it under a load; back of the gas for a second to make the shift. Doing otherwise will contribute to bending shift forks, and rounding the engagement dogs on the gears and lead to jumping out of gear after a while. Also, make the shift positively, so it won't grind as it goes in.
