Triple Clamps 03 yz on 00 yz

Apparently the triple clamps are the same on 03 125s, 250s and 450s.

How about an 00? Will an 03 clamp fit an 00 (426) ?

Yes, it should fit. Yamaha went with larger diameter forks in 04, but the 03 and previous were all the same.

Although off topic since you have a 426 but doesn't the front number plate mount different after 99? Meaning putting a top clamp for a 426 on a 400 would require a new front number plate also right?

Yes, the 98-99 had a bolt that ran through the front plate, they changed the design in 00 so if you put a newer upper clamp on your 98-99 you'll also need the 00-05 number plate.

You need the front fender also. I put a clamp for an 03 on a 97 125 and it needed the new fender also since the number plate was longer.
