I'm guessing sometime between Mid September to December, and the cost will be about $6699 MSRP. I assume it will have the aluminum frame also.

I would hope so but I'm not holding my breath. Since Yamaha just did a redesign of the WR frame for 05, I would think they'll wait a couple of years before bringing it out in aluminum. I guess we'll all see come June!

Yeah, I know the YZ got it. But the YZ gets redesigned about every year. You may be right. I bet they will run the WR frame for several years. It just doesnt get the R&D the YZ models do. I didnt realize the WR frame was redesigned for 05 :) Oh well, maybe 07, I can get my twin spar framed WR. :)

Maybe we should just buy a YZ? After all, most of us here spend the time doing all of the mods - throttle stop, airbox, AIS, grey wire, baffle, etc... Heck some of us even go so far as to replace the cam with one from a YZ. Whats left? After all of that, we have a YZ with an E-start.

2008 will be the year to buy a new WR. 2007 will launch an all new next generation four stroke 450 engine and aluminum frame. Give it a year to get the bugs out and the 2008 should be sweet! :)

You mean you dont want the next generation FCR pumper carb with all new anti bog adjustor, dual needle jets and high speed leak jet and more techno babble goodies? :)

I pray for EFI on the 2007 model! :)

Some things i just think computers are better at. Like ignition timing, camera focusing and the storage and display of pornography. I trust computers to mix my air and fuel. If you don't trust computers to mix your air and fuel i have a tin foil hat i can sell you that you NEED.
