Chain/chain guide question...

This may be a stupid question but I honestly don't know :)

I want to put a 52 tooth sprocket on my 02 Wr426 which is now a 50t.
Will I have to buy a new chain guide to acomodate a larger rear sprocket?

I have stock now.

no not a stupid one at all,i had modify my msr/fredette down about a 1/4" when i went to a 52t i'm sure it depends on the brand :)

ncmountainman, I was looking into one of those Fredette chain guides. What did you have to modify? Did you shave the block down?

i elongated the mounting holes,so it could ride lower. :)
