Chewgravel hopes she will still be welcome to TT after this announcement. I bought a 2 smoke today as my next bike. Never fear, I am keeping the trusty 4 stroke for trails, but I wanted a taste of MX, and didn't want to shell out about 6 grand for a newer thumper. Found a used 2 smoke for a can't lose price, and did the deed. Only road for 15-20min, but I am in love. WOW this is one powerful steed. I quickly learned where the powerband was, and how drastically different it is from my 4 stroke. Wheelies will be easy when I am brave enough. Can you say sweet?

Yeah, some of us ride/still have 2-strokes. I think we're all here for the feminine comraderie (sp?) and it doesn't matter what two wheels we ride, just as long as we're having fun!

Camaraderie, that's right! I've been on a two-stroke for 4 years now. (wow, hard to believe i've even been riding that long.)

Chewgravel, just make good friends with your clutch and don't be afraid to abuse the hell out of it. Will save you every time.

I can attest to that after getting spewed on by putrid oil spackles during startup of the exxon valdez with wheels. :) I guess that will teach me to stay in front or clear of the smoke stack.
Aside from poluting the pristine ecosystem they are light and easy to start. Too bad they can't lay down the power like the super traction valve infested thumper machine. :D

I think RC might argue that point?

If you have a chance to ride the 125, you should definitely do so. They aren't the best "woods bikes" for sure. A 250 would be a much better choice for woods/trail riding. Throw a flywheel weight on there and you've got a potent woods weapon. 125's are a bit too radical IMO. To get good power out of it, you really need to be in the upper RPM's.

I ride a CRE 250 F supermotard edition. I wanted to buy a 250cc 2T but i thought it would be too wild for a beginner on dirt! I think i'll go to my dealer tomorrow morning and talk about it!!!

I agree with you though! :excuseme:

Wow, what are you riding? My 200 will walk away from the stock 250 thumpers, weighs 15 or more pounds less, and requires no "starting drill."
