Decopression lever mishaps

Has anyone wrecked there 250f of 426 by accidently pushing the decomp. lever . I have crashed on mine many times and the engine is still fine.

I have never had any problem with that on my "98" WR400 or "01" WR250. In fact sometimes I use the compression release to roll start on downhills. They say that's not good but after 4 years I call that success.
