Has anyone blocked off the right side petcock on the Clarke tank? If so, what did you use? I only want to run the one on the left. (std.) Any ideas??? Is there maybe a pc. available from Clarke so I dodn't have to "afro engineer" one? Gimme some ideas boys!

Well since I am the "Engineer" on this board. Acutally I have no clue what would be good to plug it up, this is actually bugging me and I will be thinking about it at my hockey game...
later randy...

Ps-Did you see in the new MXA the sidepanels Doug Dubach had on his bike at Glen Helen??? they are American flag thingys. They would look sooo good on our bikes. I will post the pic on here if you havent seen it yet..

Oh hear we go, the whole "Engineer" thing again! What's up dude??? Yeah I saw them. I think I'm going with the blue side panels with yellow or red backgrounds.
But still no one has answered my question. Does EVERYONE use two petcocks on that tank???
("uhhuh..he said petcock..uhuh") :) :D

Randy, the Clarke tank comes stock with the right side plugged & you have to conciously drill out the plastic beyond the threads if you want to use dual or right side petcocks. that is, of course, unless you're buying a used tank that someone already plumbed for both sides.....if so, on my vintage bike (leaky) fuel petcocks, i use a gasket sealer product ("1011"?) that's like Yamabond but not permanent & it works great. otherwise, if you're buying new, you don't have to worry about the right side.... bobwombat

DOH! Yep, the holes are still closed alright. I bought it used but the holes were never opened. Thanks Bob, you can give me the 'ole "Three Stooges slap" now if you like. Next time I'll put my damn glasses on! :)
