YZ, we ride at Rausch all the time, and Jack frost too. Only real areas around here for track riding. We are heading up to Rausch tomorrow (sunday) mabey after 2. Gonna be a mud fest though! KTM #523, and YZ426, #47. The KTM (mine) also has Thumpertalk.com decals on the radiator shrouds.

YZ, yeah, they have been letting us ride the ATV track for a few months now. I like it better than the main track. I love the jumps on the main, but the pine bark CRAP sucks. Only jump I am not doing on the main track is the big step-up, and I know I can do it, I just gotta quit being a pan-Z!
ATV track is a freakin' blast. It is smooth, and hard pack. Awesome traction. I only am not jumping the first double on the back straight, and the single jump onto a tabletop. The one big tabletop is 75', (i tape measured it) and I can clear that one pretty easy. It doesn't send you very high, so you really gotta crack the throttle eh? Third gear 1/4-1/2 throttle on the 520!! I want to try the single to the t-top tomorrow, if it's not too bad (muddy and slippy). The 'big' double though....well, we'll see.

dang gone it ...cant make it chris.maybe next week.see what the weather brings.not sure which track your describing on the single to table top.the motocross track?yea it was pretty slick yesterday so becareful!...lotta snot!dude told me they are gonna redesign the motocross track.gonna split supercross track in half and make another intermediate track.they werent sure if the freestyle area is gonna be up this year or not.if at all.thats a bummer.i liked the last one.nothing like a big gap you can hit and not have to worry about hitting it coming out of a corner or something..enough babbling..have fun at rausch!

Yeah, the main track has a SHARP nearly 180 degree turn, short run, single onto a table. I love that one. Clean it no problem. I can't QUITE get to land on the downslope of the table, but hey, it's far enough. THe ATV track has one too, much longer, but with a bigger run. I'll try to get some video and post it here.
If weathers good, I'm sure we'll ride next week too!

Been to Hopp's Switchback quite a few times this Fall - strictly for practice. I haven't tried racing yet. I haven't seen very many yzf's there though (I'm the fat old man prolonging adolesence and trying to stay out of everyone else's line.)
While I've never ridden the track, Field of Dreams in Jennerstown, PA is one sweet looking track. Lots of sawdust mixed into the dirt...underground water system...bridge. It is possible to rent the track for a day. The maximum is four riders and I think the cost is very reasonable.

YZpeg,
I live in York, let's hook up for a ride. You should also consider Happy Ramblers in Hanover. You join the track (have to be an AMA member) for $85/year and you have to work 6 race and work days. The good part is they give you a key and you can ride anytime.
Send me a PM for my phone number.
Chris,
Heard the audio, but had no video.

Hey guys, I just read in the Sunday paper that the state of NJ is looking to open up the old Jungle Habitat (animal safari park) in West Milford NJ. Supposedly, they're looking to open approx. 30 mi. of trails to motorcycles and ATV's.There will be three tracks to practice on and a bunch of BMX stuff too. Separate trails for mtn. bikers and off roaders. They're also trying to open about 30 MORE of linking trails too! Of course the locals, and the "tree huggers" are giving their usual hard time to the beaurocrats but it looks like we may win this one!
Keep the faith northern NJ riders, we might have a "legal" place after all!!

Hey nice video man!!! I really liked it. Does anyone know of any tracks around the Pittsburgh area?? I have to drive at least an hour to go to the closest track(switchback). I was hoping someone would know of any....thanks

Bill, I don't understand why you would hear sound, but no video!! It I KNOW will run on Windows Media Player. It is an MPG file. For those who can't see it at all, hmm. Just make sure you give it a ton of time if you are not on a cable modem or something comparable.
