Mountain Motorsports Lowering Link
**EDIT**
I just read through the details on the lowering link and it sounds good. I then went to the pricing page and DANG....$166?? I was thinking around $50 with no seals but $166? That's RIDICULOUS!

Look at the comments MMS makes about their own products.
[This product is designed for trail riding and not competition.]
[This is not to be used in race application!]
Do any of us really not ride the hell out of these bikes at times although we are not always in a race/competition every minute? If the manufacturer makes comments about their own products like the ones above how can you have any real long term confidence in their product. If a few guys are serious about getting their bikes lowered, maybe as a group purchase one of these links, take it to a machine shop and cut a few to reduce the overall cost. Otherwise its a overpriced rip-off IMO.

It made the rear end of the bike pretty soft. Anyone over 225 pounds probably should not use.
In the end . . . I have removed the link. I decided to bit the bullet and send my bike to Devol's to get the bike professionally lowered and revalved for my weight and height. (Cost around $500).
If anyone is interested in the link, I will sell it much cheaper than what I paid for it.

I just bought a 2004 WR450 for my wife and need to lower it a bit. I would be interested in buying the link from you if the price is right.
I'm an Orygunian too, down here in Ashland.
Did you get yours with the bearings and seals or bare?
Thanks,
Gordy

I find this statement to be very humorous........................ If I were 5' 9", I would be telling people that I was a tall guy! Try being 5' 6.75". Yes that 3/4" comes in handy when mounting my 450

I've found that winters spent drinking beer and eating potato chips has made my legs longer because I can almost touch the ground flat footed, last year I was on my toes.
