hey guys, i checked my valve clearances on my YZ400 today, I measure 0.15 for all 3 intake valves and 0.25 for both exhaust valves....

my question, this is the bottom of standard specs for both intake and exhaust as spec is 0.15 to 0.20 for intake and 0.25 to 0.30 for exhaust...

should i do anything or just leave it until my next valve check?

In spec is in spec. When they tell you the valves are OK at .15, there's no reason to fix them when you find them there.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." :)

I thought it was .20-.25 on the exhaust side. Am I right?

It is on a 426/450, the 400 I'm not sure. Either way, .25 is in spec.

I just looked it up, on the exhaust it is .25-.30 on my '99 YZ400F and the intake side is .10-.15. My friend just ordered a hotcams and it was calling for .20 on the exhaust cam. I wonder why it would be different...
