I beg to differ! I put Yamaha stickers on a Honda once and gained 12.34 HP at the back wheel!?

That is absurd!! You can gain no less than 15 horsepower by adding stickers!! However, I put a Honda sticker on a Yamaha and it lost 15 horsepower!

OK My brother had his 04 Crf 450 up to about 90. Will the 04 WR 450F beat the Crf. I havent had it up to top speed yet. I am waiting till I get to a dry lake bed again.

I just looked at my GPS from last weekends ride, while racing my friend on his 525 on an uphill graded road my 05 was clocked at a dismal 87.5 ? He was 2mph faster over and over again... I was pinned in a tuck...

103 is just crazy!!!!! I can't seem to find 5th gear much on the trail as it is!!!!! I would think 70's would be a closer top speed, but then again I'm just guessing.

My WR400F Will Do 65 MPH In 4TH Gear! It Will Do At Least 90 MPH! ?

Is the stock setup at 15/52 on a '05 WR450? From the first couple of posts it looks like 15/50 is a good choice for more top end (for high speed desert riding)? Will the stock chain still work with this combo? Thanks.

15X50 gearing on dirt road (easily lose 5MPH) 96MPH very slight downhill, I've done it twice. Big Jim

15/50 , 14/50 & 13/50 all work with 114 links of chain. Easy to change back and forth for riding different trails & conditions. ?

ok for starters 103miles is 165.76243200000002km lol i have had mine to 185 km apox and was still getting faster i just ran out of road lol is a standard wr450f 05. em changing gearing to 15-48 and a top end rebuild and will see how much faster i can get it ay... steering stabaliser is really good idea =D
