On the Suzuki Canada website,

http://www.suzuki.ca...ory=competition

the RMZ450 is supposed to have an “aluminum skid plate and two plastic side guards…”, but none of the pictures I’ve seen have the skid plate. Is this a misprint? Bad assumption on my part? Or a Canada-only perk for putting up with -40C temperatures?

Also, some of my Honda-bound friends have noticed that their radiators seem “soft” and have bent inwards with knee pressure. Has anyone noticed this with the RMZ450? Or would it be safer, along with the petcock issue, to purchase rad braces?

Before I take mine on any trail riding I see the need for Rad gaurds, brake res. gaurd, skid plate (mine sure doesnt have one), a quite exhaust with spark arrestor, case protection. I havent found anything that is shipping yet except for a Yosh Ti full system (not quite). Everybody else i talked to said after the first of the month.

Am I missing anything? Sure hope some of this stuff comes to market quickly...

I just ordered a RS3 yoshimura slip on for the bike, a scotts perfomance ss oil filter and a couple air filters. I only ride mx but I do see a need for a skid plate/engine gaurd for sure. I believe works connection has 2 rmx 450's and they are molding the accessories now.

norcal_hoss,
Just wanted to give you an update on the RMZ 450 products. Yes we got our RMZ 450s a few weeks ago and we will have products available very soon. We actually have a few things already. We have a limited # of 'hot start' kits that relocate the 'hot start' to the handlebars either on the right side or left, as well as 'EZ Holeshots" Aluminum Throttle tubes, and Brake Caps Front & Rear, and red oil fill plugs. The Skid Plates (mx) will be available in about 2 weeks (maybe sooner) and the engine guards, master cylinder guards etc. will be available in aprrox. 3-4 weeks. I will post photos as the parts are finished up. Thanks...Eric
