Tank Bungee

Recommended Posts

That's funny, I just noticed mine was missing last night. I'm going to just double up two zip ties since one would probably break. If they both break then I'll probably just safety wire it or break down and buy the rubber band. Anyone know how bad Yamaha wants to rape our wallet for that little ass thing.

This just happened to me on my 2000. I hit the archives because I remembered it coming up a long time ago. I put a Zip tie on mine. Some suggest a rubber gasket. One guy bought a replacement from Yamaha for $11 then lost that one. ?

Yes mine went BYE BYE also ? I have a feeling where they all have gone, they went to the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON :)Have you sat on the garage floor and worked on your bike, put that 10mm wrench right next to ya and when you went to use again it was gone! Somewhere their is a place that has lots of tools piled miles high :D Why is it we always lose tools :D when working on the bikes, but always have BOLTS & NUTS left over :D Ride Safe and Ride Often.

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!! I spent 15 minutes last night looking for my 10mm wrench that somehow walked itself into the kitchen and sat down on the counter right next to the fridge almost like someone set it there while pouring a glass of water!! I swear, you'd think we'd have the tools trained by now for the price we pay for them!!

I have one on order to replace my mystery bungee to the tune of $8.....it to grew legs and went out on the town with my 8 and 10mm box ends! ? I plan on tethering the new one with a ny-tie to a fixed position on the frame and see how long it stays attached to where it's supposed to before it feels the need to date my wrenches again! :D
