Hey ShockDoc.... Can you tell me why the fork bladder disable works? I was told that the purpose of the bladder was to seperate the oil from air to prevent foaming. Disabling the bladder would have the effect of allowing air to mix with the oil causing foamy oil to pass through the valves. This makes for an inconsistent and unpredictable fork action. Is that true? Opinions?

I did the mod last month and I can tell you what a difference it made. I ride manly in the woods, on some nasty trails . there is no more harsh chop to the front end. I am not sure if the air is mixing with the oil but this mod sure works, I would highly recommend it. I also bleed the air out of the forks after every ride
and I haven't seen any oil come out of the forks. I did have to adjust the oil level and the clickers to get it Set right for me. I have a friend who does suspension work and I will ask him about the bladder.

Most of you guys that say you like this mod ride trails. I live in the desert and ride here mostly. Rarely go to the track. How does this mod do on desert trails/hills?? I have springs ordered, so as soon as they come in I'll decide whether to do this mod or not.

I ride as a B rider hare scrambles and enduro. I think I push the bike pretty hard.
The main difference is in the small stutter bumps and the braking bumps going into corners. This does not effect the last half of the travel. The big hits remain the same. I upped the oil level and went in on the clickers to make the forks the way I like them.
