I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you asking if there is a way to get more free play at the lever? or is it that the clutch is not smooth when you engage it?

Wot is happening is as i release the lever slowly the clutch has an on / off action and grips to quickly!

Sounds like my yz450, it shudders or grabs like that also. I didn't know that KXFs had the same trouble. Is the oil fresh? Does the clutch slip once you let go of the lever, maybe the friction plates are worn. In the yz I think the problem is not enough oil holes in the basket, my KXF has not had this trouble.

Funny you mention the oil as i only just changed it today with semi syn fresh stuff ... i will drop oil and change bact to differant type.

Sounds like it's time for a new clutch basket.
What you describe is common when the "ears" of the basket get notched out.
Replace it with a Hinson & you'll get twice the life out of it next time.

i have a problem like that with my RMZ-250 it seems like the clutch is always grabing. When i pull it all the way in it is still hard to push and i feel a little pull. What should i do?

Shift to neutral to push it. Parasitic drag from rotating the geartrain.
