new pipe and silencer

To put a new pipe and silencer on my bike does it require some jetting?? or changing something besides just the pipe and silencer??

jetting will only help improve the power when the pipe is put on if ur going to put on a 700 dollar pipe u might as well spend 40 more to jet it right and get the most power out of that pipe.

Well what if i just got the silencer.. would this be any performance gain??? would i need to do anything just to add silencer??

40 bucks to rejet? wtf kind of jets are these? titanium wrapped in gold? jets cost about 3 bucks each, lol.. :excuseme:

they only cost $3 dollars for each jet, but you get multiple jets and custom needles. if you get the jd jet kit then you will have the expertise of james dean himself right at your keyboard (he is the moderator of the jetting forum) i have his kit installed on my yzf and i must say it is a big improvment over stock.

no no... wasn't fussing about price.. I was just wanting to slide the pipe on there myself without having to take my bike to a mechanic thats why I was asking would just the silencer do anything and would I have to jet with just silencer... It wasn't Money issue... sorry for understanding....

Yes go ahead and add a silencer if its titanium its still better than stock so ur safe. but no u dont have to rejet if u dont want to. im just saying if ur gonna spend that much might as well rejet to get the most gain out of the pipe.
