Smog Pump Modification 2005 wr450

Are there any benefits from removing the smog pump? If so, what have you been doing with the hoses and fitings?

Where can I get it? In the thumper store. What is the advantage of removing it?

The main advantage in removing it is backfire reduction. Also, it cleans up the looks, subracts some unnecessary weight, and provides easier access to the rear shock. Oversize tanks bind on the air tube as well.
