426/450?

does anyone know if a 426 headpipe will fit on a 450? :cry:

i think it will. i remember somewhere asked about the 450 header on a 426 and someone said all you had to do was modify the hole in the subframe, oblong it.

The exhaust port on the head is different. It "fits" but doesnt work as well as it should. I dont know why the subframe would matter. The header doesnt go that far.

Gonzo is right....the head pipe does not go back that far. The shape and length of the head pipes are different. I would not recommend it.
